OUR STORY BEGINS IN NEW YORK CITY IN 2009.
Our Founding Artist, Alexander Esguerra had an idea for his first exhibition. He wanted to capture the beauty and passion of the physical act of love through art. The concept for Love and Paint was born.
2010
Alex premiered his first sold-out art show titled "It's Just Sex" at Andy Warhol's Wooster Street Loft in SoHO, NYC.
2011
While exhibiting in Los Angeles, couples begin to approach Alex, not to buy a painting, but to make one themselves. After their painting session, couples would write Alex about how beautiful the experience was and how it was so much more than sex. The name was officially changed to Love and Paint.
2012
Following Alex's seventh exhibition, he meets his future business partner Tyler Peters and together they start work on what would be the world's first Love and Paint Kit.
2013
The first Love and Paint kit is released in October at a sold-out show at the Art Frieze Festival in London.
2014
Alex and Tyler begin curating Hotel experiences for couples around the world. After the success of the first kit, they begin work on Love and Paint II.
2015
Love and Paint II launched in December and the love story continues...
